Help Recruit Students for HAS the High School Aerospace Scholars Program at NASA Johnson Space Center | Please help identify students you believe will benefit from this program and encourage them to apply by visiting our website. The student applications must be mailed to JSC by November 2, 2007. |  | What is HAS? An interactive, online learning experience where students complete Web-based lessons during the school year and travel to NASA for a six-day summer experience where they work NASA engineers and scientists developing a mission to Mars. Who is Eligible? Texas high school juniors Who pays for HAS? There is no cost for participation and all expenses are included. The State of Texas, along with community organizations, partner with JSC to support HAS. Student Benefits · All-expense paid trip to NASA for workshop · Earn a high school science elective credit towards graduation · Discover career opportunities at NASA Can teachers participate? Certified Texas teachers serve as HAS counselors during the summer and are an integral part of the program. Selected teachers receive a stipend and guide the students' learning experience.
